The life assurance premiums. The figures quoted are estimates based on the French bank’s typical block policy rates for one  borrower in normal health  where the cover provided is for 100% of the mortgage balance.  The policy type is level term assurance (IO mortgage) and decreasing term assurance (capital repayment mortgage). Note for Lower loan to values the life assurance is not always compulsory subject to meeting certain criteria .

Early redemption penalties do not apply to the variable and capped rate mortgage schemes

For long term fixed rates they are equal to 6 months interest, capped at 3% of the capital outstanding . The minimum mortgage amount for partial early repayment is 10% of the initial mortgage amount borrowed.

The bank arrangement fee is fixed at 1500E (For mortgage amounts in excess of 800 000 E the fee is 0.3%)

The APRC calculation has been based on an estimate for the associated  mortgage costs over the term of the mortgage, which are life assurance premiums,  the mortgage registration fee, the bank arrangement fee, and the total mortgage interest.
